Based on our flagship industrial machine Gryphon covers 1220mm and has a maximum work height capacity of 100mm. Utilizing the same industrial routing spindle fitted to the Excalibur the Gryphon has great flexibility for CAM production. The spindle is fitted with a pressure foot that incorporates high-flow swarf extraction and additional clamping during cutting, the pressure foot will remove almost all the cutter debris ensuring the work can be seen as it is manufactured. The machine is capable of undertaking all the tasks shown in the Excalibur machines over a much greater area.

Utilizing the same control system as the Excalibur the Gryphon is equally simple to set up featuring automatic X-Y datum and the automated electronic surface setting tool.

The safety cover affords excellent visibility and includes a trolley that provides good portability, like the Excalibur the machine is quiet enough to use in the classroom without being obtrusive. It is a powerful and robust machine capable of taking heavier and faster cuts into all materials

The industrial heritage of the Excalibur is obvious and it delivers fast machining rates in an infinite range of materials. It is an excellent machine for the high speed cutting of larger CAM products at examination level including furniture projects. Other uses for the Gryphon have included flat pack furniture, storage systems, electronics enclosures and modeling making it an all round machine for 2D and 3D machining. The large bedway makes use of industrial work-clamps and can be fitted with our optional vacuum table.

Delivery and training is included with all SureCAM machines allowing you to make full and proper use of your investment immediately. INSET training is available post installation for refresher or new starts.

The large 1220 x 610mm work area makes this machine suitable for all Design Technology CAM projects in 2D or 3D particularly with vocational courses. The industrial routing spindle makes this piece of equipment ideal for the production of larger flat pack furniture and large-scale 3D Product Design prototypes. The speed of the machine makes industrial batch production a reality in the school environment.

SureCAM machines feature "open architecture" and are directly compatible with 2D Design (tm). Additionally SureCAM machines are compatible with Pro/DESKTOP (tm), Pro/ENGINEER (tm), SolidWorks (tm), AutoDESK (tm), ArtCAM (tm)Crocodile Clips (tm), Circuit Wizard (tm), VCarve (tm) + others.
