Modelling foam is popular for making 3D prototype products from Pro/DESKTOP® drawings. However, there has always been a problem with this material of the quality of finish. We have been looking for a material which will take fine machine detail and be capable of taking a paint finish. We have found a material that meets these criteria. Modelboard is manufactured for industry for 3D machine modelling; it does not blunt the cutter, giving a much longer life from the tool. Some schools are using this to replace MDF for 3D machining.

Type 1 (Colour - Blue)
Foam block with a fine grain. Can be sawn, carved etc. It is rigid, light and machines easily making it the perfect material for the creation of fast prototypes. This foam is suitable for daily workshop use when modelling, but does not vacuum form well.
